New Idea Book- New Artwork!

Hello, there.  I've got a couple of cards to share with you today!  I know it's been so long, you probably don't remember I even have a blog.  Now that summer's over, maybe I can get going on here again.

Since it's September, we have a new catalogue out that's filled with tons of great new artwork and lots of exciting new products!

Here are two cards made with the Laughing Lola paper pack:

These cards are made using Mojo Monday's Sketch#312:

I also used:
Cardstock: black, white
Stamps: Frame Flair, Card Chatter-Birthday, and an old birthday set.
Ink: Gypsy, Black
Embellishments: Bitty Sparkles, Zipper Lace, flowers, feather, and lace from my stash.

So, once again, it's been awhile since I've posted.  I'm sorry.  And, on top of that I seem to like sharing with you paper that's been retired!

I don't know what's going on with me!  Oh-yeah- I do...I like to hoard my new paper until it's retired and then I haul it out and use it!  Not good for sales, but there you have it.

I have two cards to share with you today.  They both use the Cruisin' Paper Pack (which is retired, of course).

These also use burlap string and jute from I don't know where and Round Durable Studs and buttons from CTMH.

I also have a couple more which I may have already shared with you, but here you go:

Same retired paper pack again, twine, stamps and cardboard pieces from CTMH, random jute and button.

Thanks for looking:)

New Stuff!!!

I would like to share with you 2 cards that I made with some of the goodies I got in the mail yesterday.

I couldn't wait to break into the box when it came, but we had appointments to go to first:)

Finally after supper I got my first look at my new stuff- and I was so pleased!

Pink and Teal and Grey and Navy Blue; girl stuff and boy stuff; glitter and sparkles- I can't wait to use it all.

This first card is my take on the Mojo Monday 276 Sketch Challenge.  I just made it a 4x4 card instead of regular size.

This one is another sketch that I found-but I can't remember where I found it:)

I used the brand-new Chantilly Paper Pack from CTMH, Chantilly Complements-Chipboard Pieces, Shimmer Trim, Bitty Sparkles, Cricut Art Philosophy, Sorbet Baker's Twine, and Outdoor Denim ink.

Thanks for looking and have a great day:)

Soccer Birthday

Good Day!  We have 4 birthdays in 5 weeks here at our house, so we have parties coming out of our ears!  Does that even make sense?!?  Let's just say that with 3 down and 1 to go, I've just about had enough parties to last until March.  And I don't even want to think about that one because that means my baby will be one (the Lord willing).  Wow!  Man time flies!

Anyways, our son just turned 6 the other day and since he loves soccer and the colors green, blue and orange, here's the card I made for him:

It's my take on the Mojo Monday 270 challenge sketch.  I used paper from the Scholastic Paper Pack from Close to my Heart.  The soccer ball and "Game On" are from the Game On stampset.  The stars are cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge  and the burlap string I found at Winners.

I like to make the kids' birthday cakes according to what their interests are, so of course, I had to make soccer cupcakes for him.  The soccer balls are rubber bouncers from WalMart.  All the kids were thrilled to take them home at the end of the day:)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Sparkly Birthday Party:)

Hello there!  My seven-year-old wanted to have a "pink and sparkly" birthday party this year.  I thought this was a great idea as I've wanted a chance to do a party using the Cricut and Close to my Heart stuff.

This was so much fun!  Here's what I did:

The invitation:

This was cut on the Cricut using the CTMH Artiste Cartridge and a cute {but retired} paper pack called Sweetheart.  I cut the cupcake at 3 3/4" so I could fit in a 4x4 evelope.  The "you're invited" piece is off of the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  I used Glitz Glitter Gel-Stardust for the icing.

The cupcakes:

The toppers are punched with the 1 1/2" flower punch from Fiskars, circles at 1 1/4" on the Cricut.  The little flowers are Petal Paper Flowers from CTMH with a drop of Glitz Glitter Gel in the centers.  Aren't they the cutest?  The girls thought so...

Party Bags:

More Sweetheart Paper, with Glitz Glitter Gel on the scallops.  These are also cut using the Artiste Cartridge at 5 3/4".

And finally, my daughter told me that a homemade card is "way nicer", so I had to make her card from the same paper:

She also informed her little friends that homemade cards were nicer, too:)  Thanks, Sky!

Thank you for looking and have a great day!

MojoMonday 266

Hello, there!  It's another beautiful day here in BC.  It's also challenge week over at MojoMonday.

This week's sketch is a very nice one:

And here is my take on it:
I used the Superhero paper from CTMH as well as a button and black hemp.  The "happy birthday" is from a retired set- one that I quite often reach for when making cards.  I cut the star using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, also from CTMH.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Kid's cards

Hello, again!  It's been a coupla weeks again, so I thought I would share with you come cards made by my good friend, Carmen.

I was asked, recently, if I would like to sell my cards at Silver Leaf Gifts and More.  I said, yes, of course:)  And then I realized I needed to get some cards made in a hurry.  Carmen gave me a huge hand at making these cards.  Aren't they cute?

Thanks for looking and have a great day:)

Back again-finally:)

Oh me, oh my- I can't believe how much time's gone by...

It seems I must apologize once again for not posting in such a long time.

I have excuses- our computer crashed, life is busy, and so on and so on...

Someone once told me four kids is fun, but five is a "handfull" and boy was she right:)  My life is very busy right now, and I love it!

But that's no excuse for leaving you hanging, so here are a few cards I made today:

These are all made from the Avonlea Paper Pack from CTMH.  I also used Hemp, Opaques Pearls, Color-ready Seam Binding Ribbon, Harvest Charms, and Smoky Plum and Slate inks.  The stamps are from Verve Stamps and from the Avonlea Cardmaking Workshop on the Go.

Thanks for being patient and have a good day:)

Happy Birthday-boy

Hello, readers!  I hope you are having a sunnier day than we are here in Chilliwack!  Man, this rain is tiring!  Oh, well.  Maybe this card will cheer us up...

We have another Mojo Monday sketch to share with you.  This week is a contest at Mojo Monday, so I've got my fingers crossed for a new stamp set:)

Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

This is more of the paper I found at Winners.  It's called Out of the Blue by My Mind's Eye.  The sentiment is from Happy Birthday from CTMH, as is the baker's twine.  The airplane is from Technique Tuesday.

Hopefully we'll see the sun soon:)

Boy Cards

Good Morning!  I can't believe it's been over a week since I posted.  It's also been about a week since I crafted, so I don't have anything new for you today.  However, I do have some little boy birthday cards that I made a few months ago:

These cute cards are made from inspiration from an old Stampin' Up catalogue, paper from the "paper store" and ribbon, ink and stamp set, Happy Campers, from Close to my Heart.

Thanks for looking and have a good day!

Mojo Monday meets Fanfare

Hi there!  Today I wanted to share with you a card using this week's sketch at www.mojomonday.blogspot.com.  I've been trying to use up old paper lately and this is the very last of one of my favourite paper packs from Close to my Heart: Fanfare.  This paper has been so good for boy layouts and cards, I'm actually sad to see it go.  However, the new 2012 Idea Book as some great paper for boys as well.

Anyways, here is the sketch I used:
And here is my card:

Materials used:
Paper- Fanfare Paper Pack-retired (CTMH), White Daisy, Cranberry, Pacifica Cardstock (CTMH)

Mojo Monday- on Wednesday

I made this card for the new Mojo Monday challenge.  The sketch looked like this:

And this is what I came up with:

I just love the bright colours of the Stella Paper Pack. (I may have said that already)  The Stella Compliments are cool canvas stickers that look good on any page or card.  I also used Bohemian Assortment for the lace flower and the button, Opaques-Pearl(s), Dark Chocolate and Colonial White ribbon and Colour- Ready ribbon which I sponged with Sunset ink.  What an easy way to have any colour ribbon that you need!  Oh-and I also used a tiny bit of Natural Hemp.

Thanks for looking and have a great day:)

Another Sneak Peek...

Good Morning, all.  It's a chilly morning here in Chilliwack, B.C.!
I wanted to share with you some more new things out of the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book today.
The following cards are made with a paper pack that I was a little leery to buy, but, boy, am I glad I did!

These two Springy cards are made with the Pemberley Paper Pack and Bamboo, Desert Sand, Outdoor Denim, and Colonial White cardstock.  I used Desert Sand and Outdoor Denim ink, and the Card Chatter-Birthday stamp set.  All the embellishments are new: Bouquet Assortment (blue resin flower), Colour-Ready Wooden Shapes-Garden (top flower) and Bitty Opaques-Pearl (center of wooden flower.  The bit of lace is from an old, retired Colonial White ribbon pack.

I am in love with the wooden shapes and the little pearls.  They are so cute.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Yippee!! New Stuff

Finally!  It seems like I've been waiting a loooong time for my new goodies to get here, but in reality, it's only been 10 days since I ordered.  I wanted to give you a sneak peek at what is waiting for you in the new Idea Book since it doesn't go live for you until Feb.1st.  Here is a really quick card I made with my favourite paper for this season.

This paper is called Stella- I just love the brightness of it:)  The colors are Sunset, Tulip, Lagoon, Olive and Cocoa.  Isn't it cute?  The stamp is Just for You.  I also used Sunset Bakers Twine and Bohemian Embellishments.  Enjoy!  I've gotta go play with this some more:)
