Clothes Hook

What do you call this anyways?  I have a really quick project to share with you.  I'm re-doing my daughter's room and had 2 teddy bear hooks to hang her clothes on.  I needed something new so I shopped my house and found a little sign in my bathroom that I no longer wanted.  I gave it a coat of new paint, then glued a piece of paper to the front of it.  Then I shopped my junk-drawer and found three hooks.  I screwed them on and covered the ugly faces of the screws with pink glitter from CTMH.  Voila!

So cute and easy and now her room is another step closer to being done!

New Idea Book Artwork

Hi Friends!  I though I would share some new artwork with you today.  It's going to be a shower gift for a shower I'm going to tomorrow, so it should be safe to share it today:)

I'm so happy with the way it turned out, I just want to make some more!  I got the idea from the new CTMH catalogue and adapted it to fit an 8x10 frame.  I spray painted the frame white and gently sanded some of the edges.   The stamps, ink and embellishments are from Close to my Heart.
I sure hope the new mommy likes it:)

Thanks for looking, hope you have a great day!

Hello, there.  I've got a couple of cards to share with you today!  I know it's been so long, you probably don't remember I even have a blog.  Now that summer's over, maybe I can get going on here again.

Since it's September, we have a new catalogue out that's filled with tons of great new artwork and lots of exciting new products!

Here are two cards made with the Laughing Lola paper pack:

These cards are made using Mojo Monday's Sketch#312:

I also used:
Cardstock: black, white
Stamps: Frame Flair, Card Chatter-Birthday, and an old birthday set.
Ink: Gypsy, Black
Embellishments: Bitty Sparkles, Zipper Lace, flowers, feather, and lace from my stash.

New Stuff!!!

I would like to share with you 2 cards that I made with some of the goodies I got in the mail yesterday.

I couldn't wait to break into the box when it came, but we had appointments to go to first:)

Finally after supper I got my first look at my new stuff- and I was so pleased!

Pink and Teal and Grey and Navy Blue; girl stuff and boy stuff; glitter and sparkles- I can't wait to use it all.

This first card is my take on the Mojo Monday 276 Sketch Challenge.  I just made it a 4x4 card instead of regular size.

This one is another sketch that I found-but I can't remember where I found it:)

I used the brand-new Chantilly Paper Pack from CTMH, Chantilly Complements-Chipboard Pieces, Shimmer Trim, Bitty Sparkles, Cricut Art Philosophy, Sorbet Baker's Twine, and Outdoor Denim ink.

Thanks for looking and have a great day:)

Sparkly Birthday Party:)

Hello there!  My seven-year-old wanted to have a "pink and sparkly" birthday party this year.  I thought this was a great idea as I've wanted a chance to do a party using the Cricut and Close to my Heart stuff.

This was so much fun!  Here's what I did:

The invitation:

This was cut on the Cricut using the CTMH Artiste Cartridge and a cute {but retired} paper pack called Sweetheart.  I cut the cupcake at 3 3/4" so I could fit in a 4x4 evelope.  The "you're invited" piece is off of the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  I used Glitz Glitter Gel-Stardust for the icing.

The cupcakes:

The toppers are punched with the 1 1/2" flower punch from Fiskars, circles at 1 1/4" on the Cricut.  The little flowers are Petal Paper Flowers from CTMH with a drop of Glitz Glitter Gel in the centers.  Aren't they the cutest?  The girls thought so...

Party Bags:

More Sweetheart Paper, with Glitz Glitter Gel on the scallops.  These are also cut using the Artiste Cartridge at 5 3/4".

And finally, my daughter told me that a homemade card is "way nicer", so I had to make her card from the same paper:

She also informed her little friends that homemade cards were nicer, too:)  Thanks, Sky!

Thank you for looking and have a great day!

Kid's cards

Hello, again!  It's been a coupla weeks again, so I thought I would share with you come cards made by my good friend, Carmen.

I was asked, recently, if I would like to sell my cards at Silver Leaf Gifts and More.  I said, yes, of course:)  And then I realized I needed to get some cards made in a hurry.  Carmen gave me a huge hand at making these cards.  Aren't they cute?

Thanks for looking and have a great day:)

Back again-finally:)

Oh me, oh my- I can't believe how much time's gone by...

It seems I must apologize once again for not posting in such a long time.

I have excuses- our computer crashed, life is busy, and so on and so on...

Someone once told me four kids is fun, but five is a "handfull" and boy was she right:)  My life is very busy right now, and I love it!

But that's no excuse for leaving you hanging, so here are a few cards I made today:

These are all made from the Avonlea Paper Pack from CTMH.  I also used Hemp, Opaques Pearls, Color-ready Seam Binding Ribbon, Harvest Charms, and Smoky Plum and Slate inks.  The stamps are from Verve Stamps and from the Avonlea Cardmaking Workshop on the Go.

Thanks for being patient and have a good day:)

Happy Birthday-Girl:)

Hello, Everyone!  It's almost too late to post my latest Mojo Monday card, seeing as it's already Friday and the new sketch comes out on Monday.  But I'd like to share it with you anyway.

Here's the sketch:

Here's my girly card:

I found this paper at Winner's a few days ago and I couldn't wait to use it!  It's called Life of the Party from My Mind's Eye.  The stamp is from Verve.  I finally found a use for the chocolate ribbon I bought eons ago!  And the cute little pink flower is from CTMH.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

P.S. Happy Birthday to a wonderful Mother-in-Law!!

Pemberley Layout

Good Afternoon!  I hope you've had a good day so far!  I have, although I think I worked too hard this mornin' and now have the sore body to prove it:)  Only 4 weeks to go though, so I need to whip this place into shape.  I think I may be nesting a little!

Anyways, we spent a day scrapbooking at my mom's this week and I wanted to share with you a layout that I made.  I knew when I took these pictures that I needed red and blue paper to go with them.  I was so happy to see the Pemberley paper in the new idea book and decided to pair it with some tulip cardstock.  How do you like it?

I'm not sure why the pictures are showing up a little blurry on here...must be because I cropped them a bit before I posted.  Oh, well......

Materials used: all CTMH
Paper: Pemberley Paper Pack, Tulip cardstock, White Daisy cardstock
Stamps: Trinity Alphabet
Ink: Black
Embellishments: Pemberley Zipstrip, Outdoor Denim Bigger Brads, Just Blooms-Spring Blossom

This layout is from the Cruisin' WOTG on page 61 of the 2012 Spring/Summer Idea Book.  I altered the measurements to fit my pictures.  My pictures on the left page are 3 x 3"-to give you an idea if you want to give this a try.  If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me:)  Have a good one!

Baby Girl Album

Good Day, Everyone!

I needed to have a baby shower gift for next week and I felt like making something instead of buying something so this is the something I made! Hey- that sounds like a song!  Whatever...:)

Anyways, I would like to share with you a very pretty, girly album:

I had some 6x6 accordian albums leftover from a workshop I did last year. The paper is stuff I've had around for a long time.  I think it's some I got at Joann's.  Buttons are from Close to my Heart and ribbon from Michael's.  The lace is from my mother-in-law and the rubons from my local paper store.

I thought I would make a matching card from the scraps.  I love gray and pink and white together!
Thanks for looking and have a good day!

Mojo Monday

Hi Everyone!  This is the first time that I've ever tried a sketch from a blog called Mojo Monday.  Every week these talented ladies put out another sketch to try-usually for fun, sometimes for prizes.  I thought I'd share with you my first try.  I used up some old papers that I had in my scrap-box and some felt pieces I recently got from a friend who went to a Stampin' Up party.  I also used CTMH's birthday stamp called: Card Chatter-Birthday

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
