Guy Cards

I haven't made guy cards lately so last night I quickly whipped these up.  The paper I got at a scrapbook swap I had last week.

You can hardly see them, but there are Square Studs on the second and third cards.
The stamps I used are both retired sets from CTMH.

Now my sister doesn't have to be disappointed in my guy card supply for a while:)

Happy Spring, Everyone!

Clothes Hook

What do you call this anyways?  I have a really quick project to share with you.  I'm re-doing my daughter's room and had 2 teddy bear hooks to hang her clothes on.  I needed something new so I shopped my house and found a little sign in my bathroom that I no longer wanted.  I gave it a coat of new paint, then glued a piece of paper to the front of it.  Then I shopped my junk-drawer and found three hooks.  I screwed them on and covered the ugly faces of the screws with pink glitter from CTMH.  Voila!

So cute and easy and now her room is another step closer to being done!

Valentine's Tree

It's nearly Valentine's Day and I almost forgot to post this.  We don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day at our house, but last year we had a candlelit dinner which the kids loved, so this year we will again.  However, I decided this family could use a little extra lovin' and appreciation for each other, so I found this cute idea:

As I was perusing blogland the other week, I came upon this cute Valentine's Tree.  I cut out 2 tags for every person in our family (that's 7 people!) using white cardstock.  Then I added paper hearts in everyone's colour.

On the backs I wrote "I love ________ because..."  and we all have to write something on everyone's tag.

I love this idea because it's making us all think about the little things that we appreciate about each other.  It's filling us with warm fuzzy feelings which will hopefully last all year:)

The Kids' Chess Table

My son loves playing chess and will beg anyone for a game.  As we are currently building a new playroom for the kids, I felt they should have a nice table to play chess on.

This is not really a paper project, but I did use paper on it!  I found an old table my husband made when he was in school.  It was not being used, so I painted it.  Then I cut squares of paper and Mod Podged them to the top.  A coat of sealer was the finishing layer.

How could anyone not love to play, now?

More Wooden Letters

Hello people.  Having a good day, I hope?

I recently made these wooden letters for a cousin's baby and thought I would show you.

I'm quite pleased with how they turned out:

Oh dear, the picture looks a little blurry here.  It's hard to see the details, but the N has a stamped image of an airplane and some buttons and twine; the C has his birthdate stamped on a banner; the O has a kite flying off it; the L has "look out world" stamped on it;  the A has a button; and the S has some more twine to finish it off!  Stamps and ink are from CTMH of course:)

New Idea Book Artwork

Hi Friends!  I though I would share some new artwork with you today.  It's going to be a shower gift for a shower I'm going to tomorrow, so it should be safe to share it today:)

I'm so happy with the way it turned out, I just want to make some more!  I got the idea from the new CTMH catalogue and adapted it to fit an 8x10 frame.  I spray painted the frame white and gently sanded some of the edges.   The stamps, ink and embellishments are from Close to my Heart.
I sure hope the new mommy likes it:)

Thanks for looking, hope you have a great day!
