Warm Winter Wishes

Hello all!  A very warm Christmas Wish is headed your way!  This is my last post of the year, so I thought I would show you a wintry card.  I got my inspiration from this wonderful card.  Paperie Blooms is my favourite place to go for inspiration lately.  You should check her out!

The paper I used for this card I have had for a couple of years now, so I can't even tell you what it's called.  The glittery snowflake I just picked up at the Dollar Store; the burlap string is from Winner's.  The button is out of my button box and the sentiment is from the November Stamp of the Month from CTMH.

There we go- have a wonderful Christmas and Best Wishes for the New Year:)

Soccer Birthday

Good Day!  We have 4 birthdays in 5 weeks here at our house, so we have parties coming out of our ears!  Does that even make sense?!?  Let's just say that with 3 down and 1 to go, I've just about had enough parties to last until March.  And I don't even want to think about that one because that means my baby will be one (the Lord willing).  Wow!  Man time flies!

Anyways, our son just turned 6 the other day and since he loves soccer and the colors green, blue and orange, here's the card I made for him:

It's my take on the Mojo Monday 270 challenge sketch.  I used paper from the Scholastic Paper Pack from Close to my Heart.  The soccer ball and "Game On" are from the Game On stampset.  The stars are cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge  and the burlap string I found at Winners.

I like to make the kids' birthday cakes according to what their interests are, so of course, I had to make soccer cupcakes for him.  The soccer balls are rubber bouncers from WalMart.  All the kids were thrilled to take them home at the end of the day:)

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Sparkly Birthday Party:)

Hello there!  My seven-year-old wanted to have a "pink and sparkly" birthday party this year.  I thought this was a great idea as I've wanted a chance to do a party using the Cricut and Close to my Heart stuff.

This was so much fun!  Here's what I did:

The invitation:

This was cut on the Cricut using the CTMH Artiste Cartridge and a cute {but retired} paper pack called Sweetheart.  I cut the cupcake at 3 3/4" so I could fit in a 4x4 evelope.  The "you're invited" piece is off of the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  I used Glitz Glitter Gel-Stardust for the icing.

The cupcakes:

The toppers are punched with the 1 1/2" flower punch from Fiskars, circles at 1 1/4" on the Cricut.  The little flowers are Petal Paper Flowers from CTMH with a drop of Glitz Glitter Gel in the centers.  Aren't they the cutest?  The girls thought so...

Party Bags:

More Sweetheart Paper, with Glitz Glitter Gel on the scallops.  These are also cut using the Artiste Cartridge at 5 3/4".

And finally, my daughter told me that a homemade card is "way nicer", so I had to make her card from the same paper:

She also informed her little friends that homemade cards were nicer, too:)  Thanks, Sky!

Thank you for looking and have a great day!
